Hi all,
Been having ongoing problems with my Tivo Series 2 540 box for a few months
and I'm about ready to try a new hard disk. I'm using it via a Motorola
DCT2000 cable box. Cable service is a mix of analog and digital channels.
Tivo works fine on all analog channels... no pixelation except for a few
seconds when you switch channels, but the pixelation is usually very bad and
constant on the digital channels. Sometimes it's so bad the blue Tivo "no
video source" screen flashes constantly among the pixelation. What's funny
is one digital channel may work fine with the Tivo, but the channel next to
it may be so bad it's unwatchable.
I've swapped DCT2000 boxes to no avail. Also have tried both cable and
component inputs to no avail. Tried the "clear and delete everything"
setting several times to no avail. Run the DCT2000 straight to the TV
bypassing the Tivo box and the picture is perfect.
Any ideas or should I just go for a new disk?
Thanks
