Hi,

I've a dell inspiron 3521 which doesn't power up.
when power button is pressed, the dell logo doesn't show up and single beeps occur.
per dell beep codes, single beeps indicate problem with bios/motherboard.
i checked forums and some suggested flashing bios to upgrade it using usb key.
i created a bios bootable usb key - downloaded bios file from dell site and created bios bootable usb using rufus.
however, the laptop doesn't boot from the usb. this may be so cause boot prioriy is not set to boot from usb.
but what is the workaround, if there is any, to set the priority or to get the system boot from usb?
any pointer would help!

Thanks!

If it does not load the BIOS screen, you will not be able to boot the system unless for some reason the boot selection key works. For a Dell, try hitting F12 as it starts, it should give you a boot option screen if it's working at all.
