Double Websites

The past month my computer has decided to open two websites at the same time. Right now I am looking at two tabs for Tom's Hardware. My husbands does the same thing. We are networked. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

What browser are you using? If it is Internet Explorer you might have some poorly written malware installed. Try another browser and see if the problem persists.

I'm using internet exporer. What browser would your recomend? Shouldn't my securtiy (AVG) have caught that? How do I get rid of Malware? Thank you so much for your answer.
