Downloads download and get removed and disappear

every time i download something on any web browser (chrome,opera,safari,firefox) it downloads but then it gets deleted and i get a message that says what ever you downloaded cant be found.can it be some sort of infection? because the directory is set to the downloads folder on every web browser and i even tried putting the diectory on the desktop but they still get deleted.it still downloads i can see it @ the bottom of chrome.

sounds like a virus
you need to download the program Malwarebytes on another computer and put on a jump drive or disc and then run it on the infected machine
