E-mail drives me crazy!?!?!?!

Hey, guys.

I am a freelancer and I was offline for more than a week now and I didn't check my email during that time. When I finally did I had more than 1500 unread emails. That really drives me crazy. I don't want to spend hours and hours checking my emails and at the same time I really don't want to miss something important. Do you have similar problems? Is there any usefull tool or app that organizes your email communication and sorts out your inbox? I am so fed up with spam ...

Change your e-mail provider (or set up your spam filters). I have accounts with all major providers (Yahoo, GMail. Hotmail), and I rarely have spam in my inbox.

Check your "spam" folder once in a while.

As for your current pile of e-mails: Sort them by sender, then by subject. YOu should be able to pick up "important" once on the spot.
 
Who is your e-mail provider? All of the abovementioned do pretty good job of filtering out my email, as does Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird etc.

And don't tell me you're looking at 1500 emails on an iPhone...
