A 69 year old gamer,Red Alert, SS2, Heroes Might&Magic, Except 4,that was junk, Only play WOW online for 4 years now. Can't play with the teens as they are too good for me. All MP Bull!!

Single player games are fun
Co-op Games are better only because a real person is smarter than the stupid stupid stupid stupid AI
i'm smatrer than the computer i lke cupcakes

Gears of war is an excellent single player game... Sure MP is important. But SP is still fun too... and important in PC gaming since there is almost NOBODY to play against/with anyways.

Games I find almost nobody to play with:
- HAWKs
- UT 3 (Epic screw this one up)

[citation][nom]nun[/nom]ok multiplayer is the shit, you guys apparently don't have any friends.[/citation]

what the hell does multilayer have to do with having friends? most of the time you're playing strangers? the best form of multi player and main advantage of a console was split screen. and the consoles went and shot them selves in the foot for the 100th time by ditching that in favor of online play... which, like everything every other feature of consoles, can be done better on a PC anyway.

As a business model, I agree.

They need to GIVE AWAY single player campaigns and charge a ton for multiplayer.

There are much more effective means to their own ends.

[citation][nom]viciousteletuby28[/nom]What about all the people in third world countries who don't have fast internet but still buy games? Talk about alienating huge markets.[/citation]
Which markets are these. They don't exist.

MP = bunch of bunnyhopping idiots, be it WOW or COD. Yes, a lot of people play MP (including me), but noone is crazy enought to play ONLY MP games.

I'll start taking anyone from EA seriously when they actually have something decent developed in-house instead of just the flagrant pimping of other people's talents.

As alot of other people here states: not everyone have the time and dedication to become fairly good in a game to have a chance against 12y'olds playing 10 hours a day. I buy COD4 MW2 because of the SP part - because it's pure fun, not competative.

I love SP over MP! Of course for game companies multiplayer games are much more profitable like WOW where they can milk a game for all it's worth.

I prefer SP.

-Most people are idiots. In SP mode, you don't have to deal with people, only scripted NPC's and AI-enabled characters.

-It's easier to have an interesting story in a SP game. MP games just say "kill those guys". Why? Who knows, but if you succeed, you win. Some SP games are like that, but there are SP games with great storytelling where you really feel that you have a purpose in the game.

-You can play for 30 minutes a day or 6 hours. Just save when you're done and when you resume later, everything will be exactly as you left it.

-SP games are more balanced - the levels are adapted to your skills as a player and to the abilities and equipment of your character. SP games can be challenging, but they're made so that you can "win" eventually. In MP games, that's nearly impossible because of cheating, exploits or simply because some people have way too much time on their hands. If you're working or studying or just happen to have a real life outside of gaming, it's nearly impossible to win.
