Editing, Gaming Laptop, also used for College? Recommend me one

I want a laptop (pc) i can use to edit videos on, game a bit, and that ill be able to use for college. I know i need a i7 quad core, with RAM above 4 gb, a hard drive higher than 500 gb, and windows 7 or 8 preferably. I've seen people discuss other things like GPU's and such and i have no idea what they mean. My budget is $800 and down. What else should i look for and what brands are the best?
