I like to check on newegg's daily deals and email deals on a regular basis. I noticed this device which they are literally giving away for free. It was originally $149.99, they give you an instant $70 off and then a $79.99 MIB on top of it. You just need to pay the $2.99 shipping. It claims to correct the color on your HDTV to what the director intended. It uses EEColor technology. To me, it just sounds like more picture settings for your TV. My question: is it worth the $2.99 and the price of a stamp for the MIB + the wait to get my $80 back? Will this device actually improve my TV's picture? Does anyone have one or know anyone that does or have any experience with on at all? I visited the website and saw a few videos, but it doesn't really explain much other than giving you a before and after of the picture quality. Based on the youtube video below, I can say that whites look much cleaner as opposed to the original picture where they are yellowish. I have a Vizio E3D420VX. Some of the reviews (a total of 6) on newegg say that this box isn't compatible with 3D TV's and the description makes no mention of it. I figure if it doesn't work on mine, I can give it to my dad for his aging Panasonic plasma. Or should I just pass on it altogether? It is hard to pass on something 100% off.
