Emachine boot issue

Hello,
Emachine E627
Only boots to the first screen which is the big "e" and the "Press F2 go to setup" prompt
Pressing F2 does nothing
I have tried pressing every button I could find on the forums during boot up
I have removed power and battery overnight
I have tried recovery and repair disks
I have removed HD and removed and reinserted RAM
Any ideas?

sounds like a system hang...you have to bare bone the pc again..no hard drive..no cd-rom..no extra cards and no keyboard or mouse or anything plug into the usb ports. if the mb is fine and the device that hanging the system off the mb it should post after a few min time out with a black screen with a message no boot devices found.

K .. It is a lap top .. Can take out the keyboard .. But the pad is a different story .. Will strip it as far as I can and see

Removed HD, keyboard and RAM
Restarted while replacing each individual component .. Either got a black screen .. To be expected with no ram, or the same symptoms as above .. The only component not removed is the pad ..
