Email rejection problems - virus?

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this for me.

Until recently, my popmail account (I was using outlook express) was working fine. A short while ago, though, my emails started getting bounced when I emailed my girlfriends pop account - for something which appears to be security reasons.

When sending an email to work today, the email was rejected because it showed positive for a virus. Work uses norton and McAfee to test for viri.

At home, I have Trend PC-Cillin 2002, fully updated and run every day. No virus shows up.

I have tried numerous other virus checkers - online, test version, you name it - this evening, and NO virus has been found on my system.

It seems that for some reason, my outgoing email tests positive for a virus - hence why it it blocked by my girlfriend's ISP and blocked at work - but there is no detectable virus on my PC. What is going on here? Anyone have any ideas?

PS:

I installed Pocomail earlier to see if it was an outlook problem. Nothing has changed - stil rejected from my GFs email provider. So I don't think Outlook Express is the problem.

Can you find someone you can send an email to, and receive it (not open it) and scan it with Norton. Perhaps they can identify the virus

Go to Panda Antivirus and run their free online scanner. Select 'Scan all my computer' and it will scan files, memory, and email.

I've tried both solutions, but neither found a virus.

I am beginning to think that the virus scanner was jumping at shadows. I can't believe there is a virus on my system which has been missed.

Thanks for the help though, I appreciate it. :)

If you want to email me let me know. I can d/l on my "sandbox" and scan it and let you if I find anything with Norton.

Cheers
