Email Account in Office 2003

Hello. I am trying to set up an email account in Office 2003 but am having some difficulty. I have set it up exactly as my other computers are set up and every time I try to test the settings, it prompts me for my username and password and then the test email fails because there was no connection to my outgoing server because the server is rejecting my username and password!?
Has anyone else had this sort of problem and now armed with the knowledge to thwart it? Any help would be immensely appreciated.

The problem is that your username or password are wrong, or the server is wrong. Check them, and/or contact support for your email service.
