Hi. I was suddenly unable to send emails from my Outlook 2010 account. I'm certain it has something to do with this computer, because I have the account set up on my laptop and another computer, and there are no issues. I hadn't had any problems since starting the account (approximately 6 months), and it just started. I've also searched all over and tried the various options that seemed to work for others, and nothing worked for me. So I deleted the accounts and figured I would start from scratch, but now I'm not able to create the account because it can't get past the test send mail point. I've run virus and malware scans, but they all came up empty. Here's the error message I receive:

Send test e-mail message: Your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: 571 imp10 smtp.charter.net MTk4LjQ3LjUxLjMz You must c

Thank you for any suggestions.

The instructions for mobile/laptop are what you need to be following for off network access. The desktop setup only works when on the charter network. If you set up exactly as instructed it will work. That it's not working means that you missed something.

Hi, and thanks for responding. That which I included was all that was shown in the error message. And you are correct, I am trying to set this up from another network - I hadn't considered that as an issues since this had been working before. I went to the charter site you pointed to, and that's exactly how I was trying to set up my account. I didn't see anything in there about setting up from another network. Does this basically mean I'm not able to do this? It's just strange that it had been working and then stopped. Maybe Charter changed some settings or configuration. Anyway, thanks for responding.
