Error message: HDMI OUTPUT BLOCKED DUE TO HDCP AUTHENTICATION FAILURE. HOW TO I FIX

I am getting a error message on my LG 42 inch Plasma tv. HDMI OUTPUT BLOCKED DUE To HDCP AUTHENTICATION FAILURE. I asked LG and they said they never heard of such a problem. ! am hoping some can tell me how to get the HDMI to work so I can view the picture in HD

Could be a crappie cable that went bad unless you've tried different cables.

If you get the same problem on all the HDMI inputs then the problem may be in the cable box. I have seen this before. First try a cold reboot (unplug from wall for 5 minutes then replug). Then get your cable provider involved. Try a new box or have a tech come.
