Right, so I plan to get this laptop , but they say it does not have space for an HDD.
What I am wondering, could I buy an HDD caddy and replace the optical drive for it? Because 1 246gb ssd is not enough storage for anyone. And I plan to travel with it because of school as well, so an external HDD is out of question.

EDIT: I found this video of this guy doing it on a separate laptop, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H7p4PQWUjE
Would the idea transfer over from laptop to laptop? Obviously the location would be different though.

Thanks

Yes, it will work. I'd wait to buy a caddy until you are sure of the height of the optical drive in question.

EDIT: Now that I've looked closer, I don't think that specific model comes with an optical drive. It even says no optical drive in the specs.

Judging by the pictures that is true it doesn't have an optical drive. Shame.
