Fake Google Chrome?

Recently I have been having severe hard drive related slowdowns and have tracked the problem back to Google Chrome. After uninstalling Chrome the problems seemed to go away. Now after re-installing they are back,but Google Chrome does not show up under Installed Programs, leading me to believe something is masquerading as Chrome.

Try to install malwarebytes and run it http/www.malwarebytes.org/

If all else fails the best thing to do is backup your data and reformat your computer.

Malwarebytes didn't come up with anything and neither has Mcafee.
