Question Female to dual male splitter not working with headphones

I have Sennheiser headphones and am using a female to dual male splitter for my pc. There seems to be a slight echo and some static noise in the mic. The speakers are working fine. I need help to solve this...

I have only one device with two ports... The problem is that i do not have Bluetooth on my PC. If I connect my headphones to my mobile and use it as mic and speakers for my PC, would it work? In this case I would use AudioRelay and OwnVoice (links embedded are for respective websites)
