First Build - I have no idea what anti virus software to get

i was also told today that just getting microsoft security essentials was all i needed. would you second that recommendation? what do you use?

Free is ok, but i prefer paid.

microsoft security essentials and avast free are 2 good free ones.your choice.

Best paid gdata internet security as it contains 2 antivirus engines , which are avast and bitdefender.

Best free Avast.
