Flat screen capacitors

Hello,
My JVC Flat screen tv is getting power but ill not stay on. Push the power button and it turns on, no picture, then turns right back off. What could cause thos?

It could be capacitor defect. How long has it been since you bought the TV? Samsung TV owners who have been using for about "3 years" filed class action lawsuit for that in the beginning of this year.

It could be any number of things. If you feel comfortable taking your set apart, get a service menu, and a multitester! If not, just contact your local service center.

Yes,You have a swollen capacitor...I took the electronics board out of my TV for that reason and had the capacitor replaced.

I'm not saying that's NOT the issue. I also wouldn't bet my paycheck. I've seen that issue be a toasted power supply, bad mainboard, corrupt/damaged cap, water spills, or even a blown CCFL.
