FOR message on Nikon D70

The camera does everthing like its going to take the picture but it wont click the green led in bottom right comes on the "For" error message appears and when i hit the menu button the hour glass comes on and it takes a while to come and says card is not formated and i when i try formating it it says formating stays on for a while turns and nothing actually changes....then 'card is not formatted' message...help....

Card broken? not inserted right? Try formating it in a card reader.

we tried the card in someone else's nikon and it's fine....I don't have a card reader, we always just download through the camera....it is my 13 year old son's camera...thanks
