Hi i had this problem with my laptop in the end i got a usb floppy and booted up using floppy drive as you use to do then formated the hard drive or you can download vista format put it on a disc mak sure its iso so it will boot on start up

I've always found that it's the windows xp operating system that can be the main cause of problems with computers. I used to have a laptop that would always have problems with the sound card. When I later upgraded it to Windows vista, the problems disappeared. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
