My Lenovo y410p's motherboard just fried, but the processor, RAM, HDD, and all other components are still working. I was considering integrating the 1TB HDD into my desktop and selling the rest off for parts for a couple hundred bucks. But before I do so, is there any better way to handle it? Could I get more by taking it apart and selling components like the RAM or processor individually online?

Either take it apart or sell it as a whole and mention defective mobo. Someone may want to try to replace it and use it since it is a decent laptop still. This may be a better option as it may be more difficult trying to sell individual laptop parts.
