My Zenith Silver Sensor arrived today, but so far, it
doesn't work much better than my Philips VHF "rabbit ears"
UHF loop indoor antenna.

Does anyone have experience with this GE Optima indoor
antenna for DTV reception?

Not me.

I would consider:

Just curious, what STB or integrated TV are you trying to receive DTV
channels with?

The USDTV/Hisense DB-2010 STB from Wal-Mart.

My GE Optima VHF/UHF indoor antenna works better than my
Zenith UHF Silver Sensor.

When I first connected my GE antenna today, I easily got a
stable picture on KCTV-DT 24, something that was very
difficult with my Zenith antenna.

I still haven't gotten a picture on WDAF-DT 34, KMCI-DT 36
and KSMO-DT 47.
