What are the hassle - free ways to sync email account on one or two devices only?

pros : no one can check your emails on their devices using an email app like people close to you that can predict your personal logins.

cons : email app could send and receive emails even if they are deleted on another device , time - consuming.

I'm lost as to precisely what you want to do.

Using POP3 will usually remove emails from the server, but someone could still get them from the server if they checked more often than you. Plus your emails are only stored locally, so you need your own backups.

Using IMAP with a decent password is the usual recommendation.

The best way to protect your emails from " someone could still get them from the server if they checked more often than you " is to setup POP email or IMAP , right? @ Someone Somewhere

No, it's to have a good password. Neither POP3 nor IMAP protect against someone checking fast.

POP3 with delete on download sort of halfway protects against people randomly logging in, but not if they're checking more often. IMAP will always leave all your emails on the server.
