go back vs ??? ??? ???

i am attached to go back. it has been the savior of my computing life. i just found out that if i want another computer, go back won't work on anything passed XP.

my question is how do other restore software compare to go back's power. i've heard of acronis and macrium reflect. how do these compare are are there others? thx

Acronis True Image's "non-stop backup" is probably the closest thing. They also offer a free trial.

I have true image home 2013, but I don't use the non-stop backup feature as it uses up disk space. I use it for scheduled backups.

does this become an issue with all the 500gb+ hd's

Even go back uses extra disk space. That's how it tracks changes and is able to revert to a previous state. As stated, I don't need continuous backups so I can't say how much space it would take, only that it does take additional space. i'd assume it would use at least as much space as go back and most likely less considering go back is an old product.

whelp. i have go back on my REALLY OLD vaio with an 80gb hd, so space should be no problem
