Good media player for tv

Hi,

I've recently bought a sattelite tv tuner card, a "TBS 6981" it works very well out of the box with windows media player, but i am just wondering is there any better media players to use for tv out there?

I'm a big fan of XBMC. There are plenty of good looking skins for it so you have a good choice of look and feel.

Great old and trusty VLC player as suggested by aford10 ^^^ is all u need, its free, u don't need any codec and its lightweight on the system.

Does what its designed for!

Doh I thought you were looking for an alternative to Windows Media Center not player.

VLC is awesome.
