good PC speakers

hi im currently looking for good pc speakers for my system i just built. i was looking at the klipsch pro media 2.1 but some of the reviews makes me want other opinions who have more knowlege than myself. are there any other speakers that are worth getting over these ones? 5.1 or 2.1 doesnt matter, though preferably 5.1. also would i be better off with a sound card? currently im using the sound built into the mobo. the mob is an ASROCK 990FX killer witha AMD 9350

forgot to add my budget is around 250 bucks but if there is something better i can wait and save up
