Good school/light gaming laptop under $600 AU

What would be the best LAPTOP (not PC) for $600 (Australian) that could be used for school work, light gaming and watching/downloading movies?

I would prefer a 14" screen and at least 500gb HDD. I need a HDMI port and a disc drive.

Please don't say that there is nothing good for this price, if you're gonna hate... do it to someone that cares.

That's like asking us from which outlet you should get your pizza from.

It really depends on what is available in your area or scope of purchase. The best deals may not necessarily be found online.

For that amount of money you'd be better off with a lightweight portable netbook. Models that pack a good graphics card for gaming while retaining good portability, generally cost a lot more.

And I'm not from Australia.

Currently includes $300 cash off for online purchase, is excellent with 8GB of RAM and uses an AMD quad core APU which should be sufficient for light gaming like MOBA's.

It has a 15.6 inch HD 768p screen and weighs 2.4KG, so this is considered a full size laptop.
