google chrome slow

I tried to start up google chome, and theses last 2 days it seems like it takes longer like 5 secs when It used to be instant. I have a i5 6600k not oc fresh built computer don't know why it's doing it granted I was downloading something, but it's weird and never happened before.

I don't think it would be a ram issue unless you literally had (F**king) 2gbs
My guess is going to be my download, or maybe the cpu it jumps to 50 to 60 % when I open up google chrome, then returns to 5%

Chrome likes to eat a lot of RAM. Have you tried reinstalling Chrome? Sometimes a Chrome update could be the problem

Why couldn't I just update chrome without reinstalling it?

The problem is the update itself. Sometime updating Chrome cause problem. I had similar issue with my old laptop where I had chrome for few years without updating and when I move to new pc and have a new version of chrome it seems to be slower even though pc specs are much better.
