Hi, I have been noticing that over the past couple of weeks the composition of the URL has changed a couple of times.

Firstly text along the lines of #bav=on.r.r (and more after that) appeared in every google search.

Now it has changed to #fp=dbbba751b754a6cc&q appearing in every search result.

Is this something I should be worried about?

Is it something to worry about? Will I run into trouble if I keep using the normal google search?

So it's not malware or any other malicious type of activity? Just a little paranoid so wanted to make sure.

Also its different if I use a different browser - the same search in IE results in a different result. For instance, searching for Sky Sports in Chrome results in this:

https://www.google.co.uk/#fp=dbbba751b754a6cc&q=sky%20sports

Whereas in IE:

http://www.google.co.uk/#fp=35bcb16da30bfa53&q=sky+sports

Sorry to be a pain, like I said, just a bit paranoid.

No, I get those too. My guess is it's google's way of keeping track of what browser they are using.

Your job is not to make life easy for their analytics people.
