gpu not active on laptop

alright so i have been trying to fix this issue for a couple of days now and it has only frustrated me.so basically my GPU gt 650m is showing up in device manager next to the default Intel 4000 graphics but it has an error code 43. i have tried disabling intel graphics uninstalling nvidia drivers, restating and re installing nvidia graphics yet i get the same problem. i have tried everything that i could think of yet it still wont use the nvidia GPU.

Did you try to reinstall Intel HD Graphics drivers and chipset drivers from laptops manufacturers driver site?

no i haven't tried to reinstall the Intel drivers, but the default Intel graphics have been working fine its getting the nvidia gpu to be the primary graphics card. also after trying to disable intel graphics and reinstall nvidia drivers. in device manager it showed that the nvida card was working fine without problems with the intel card disabled. when i went to run dxdiag under display it showed n/a for all fields and when i tried to run a few steam games i got a direct x error. but the games opened under untel graphics.

Sounds like your graphics card might be defective. Can't really help you, could be a lot of things.

ya i was probably going to take it to a repair service if i couldn't find help here. thanks for the response anyway
