Question Handycam DCR-DVD308

So I have an old handycam my mom had and I’ve recorded a couple of videos on the handycam with DVD-RW disk. I can see the videos on the camera but when I plug the usb into it with the pc and no files show up. I also have tried usb disk drives to read the disk but no files show up. Is there a way I can connect my dvd-dcr308 handycam up to get the files. Sorry if this sounds stupid but I am new lol
