hard reset tablet

my galax tab 10.1 is locked because some one wz playing with its pattern.so have tried to hard reset It It has failed.all i see is an Android logo with à word downloading.e i press Amy other button It says downloafding os.whqt should i do?

Pl follow these steps for reset:

Hold down the volume down button and power button on the tablet
Release power button when Samsung image is shown, keep on holding the volume down button
Release volume down button when two icons are shown
Use the volume down button to navigate the icons
Highlight the left icon (envelope or box)
Press the volume up button to select it and boot into recovery mode.

No, There is a solution. Hard Reset your Tablet. I also have the problem so I'm here to know how to do a hard reset.

Im having the same problem but my power button is broke... i have the settings set for now where it wont shut off.. help!

Thank you that worked great. All I had to do was hold the volume down and the power button and the tablet reset it self.
