having problem re installing windows 7 in my 32 bit laptop

after inserting windows 7 DVD in my DVD drive and choosing internal cd/dvd rom to install it but instead of taking me to install page its directly going to its normal desktop screen..i tried like reinstalling all my drive but still it doesnt work. Please help me??

win 7 has a similar boot up from the disk as your actual OS. it also requires you to hit a button right after you select the drive to boot from are you doing this when prompted?

First: does your drive see the disc?

Second: if yes, then look for the "press any key to boot from DVD" prompt. If you see that, press any key.

If no, then your drive is not reading the disc at start up - or perhaps is not reading it at all.
