Having trouble connecting Subwoofer to receiver

So I just recently bought a Yamaha RX-V577 receiver

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ILCRZRK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and an Energy 5.1 Take Classic Home Theater System

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001202C44/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But i'm having trouble connecting the subwoofer. On the receiver it says " Subwoofer Pre-out" and on the subwoofer there's a left and right "LIne in/Sub in" and 4 connections for speaker wire. My question is how do these connect? Do I need a wire made specifically for subwoofers? I looked around online but kept getting confused. I went to my Base Exchange (it's like a wal-mart but a bit smaller) and they didn't have anything that looks like it would work, but I don't know if that's because they didn't have it or I'm looking for something that doesn't exist. I just really hope it's not because the subwoofer is incompatible with the receiver. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, so I looked at those subwoofer cables but I'm confused on which one to get. Like there's this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Mediabridge-ULTRA-Subwoofer-Cable-Feet/dp/B003FW0WIK/ref=sr_1_3?s=audio-video-accessories&ie=UTF8&qid=1432331330&sr=1-3

which is just one one cord, while my subwoofer has two inputs, a left and a right, so would I just plug it into one of them. Or do I get this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Mediabridge-ULTRA-Subwoofer-Cable-Feet/dp/B00KCQSW3E/ref=sr_1_5?s=audio-video-accessories&ie=UTF8&qid=1432331330&sr=1-5

But based on the pictures, it show that the red and white connect to the receiver while the red and white inputs are on my subwoofer. Will neither of these work? or am I just being stupid?

And yes I bought speaker wire for my system, but I thought I could use it for my subwoofer too. This is my first surround sound system and I thought I did enough research to know how it works, I guess not.

Unfortunately it didn't come with any cables, it would have made this a lot easier if it did though. It does make sense so I will go with that cord. It's late so I'll go to wal-mart or best buy tomorrow and pick one up. Thank you for the info, you were a huge help.
