hdmi imput on projector wont keep signal

The projector reads hdmi input when I turn my bluray player then as soon as it loads to home screen the signal is lost why n what can I do?

Without knowing the details of your projector I would try to bring up the Bluray setup menu (do this without a disc in the drawer). Make sure that the video output is not greater than the native resolution of the projector.
