I have an AAXA LED SHOWTIME projector with HDMI port. I tried to connect it directly to my HDMI TV to watch tv programs on the big screen through the projector but there is no signal or connection. Can you connect to play film directly from tv only through Blu Ray recorder? HDMI connection computer/tablet no problem and can stream netflix, hulu etc.

Thanks

So your connecting your projector to the TV? Does the TV have an HDMI output? Generally I would say just hook the projector to the source of the content i.e. your Blu Ray or cable box. You can splice the connections so the can both be hooked up concurrently but I doubt that many TV's come with HDMI output but its been a while since I bought a TV.

Tks, I did some more googling and found out that you can't connect directly between projector and tv but have to go through dvd/blu ray device.

Since the TV does not have an output you cannot feed it to the projector. Any outside sources will feed the projector but there is no way to feed the TV tuner or smart sources into the projector. You can buy an outboard TV tuner for over the air and connect that to the projector. For internet sources a media box (apple tv, WD TV media) or pc.

What you are looking for is an HDMI Switch which will allow you to change which display (HDTV or Projector) your Blu-Ray Recorder outputs to.
