HDR effect switches automatically

Have a 4K lg tv want the tv in hdr effect mode it looks good but when I switch it it automatically goes back to vivid mode in second and I am wondering if it the hdmi cord? My port is already set to on for hdmi deep color also

What I know about 4k TV's is, they have this vivid mode set as default in settings, that's why when you set it in automatic, it goes on vivid. I don't think there is a problem with your hdmi cord, just adjust the settings when you are not using HDR.
