Headphone jack problems

My headphone jack only works when the headphones are plugged in half way. I have tried several different headphones, the result is still the same. I also tried to clean the headphone jack that did not either seem to do any difference is there any way to fix this or do i have to buy a new soundcard?

I hate to say it, but you'll have to buy a new one. This happens because the contacts in the jack are either failing or coming loose. Although this sounds like an easy thing to fix, it's not. It's just best to get a new card.
