Question Need better sound lol

Hi to everyone. I recently bought a new tv and Bose soundbar cinema package but had to send the send the soundbar back for a replacement which will take upto a month. In the meantime I’ve tried to connect my old Bose sound wave 3 to my tv with no joy. The sound wave only has a single aux Jack but tv only has optical or hdmi. I’ve tried the headphone Jack on tv but no luck. Is there anything I can do? Thanks Shane
