I have a tongfang chasis laptop. I'm using realtek hd audio version 6.0.1.8459. Both Headphones and Speakers work however they are not showing up seperately under playback devices(only speakers under playback devices). Thus i cant use seperate setting for them. I also can't play audio from speakers while headphones are still connected due to this problem. When using microsoft hd audio instead of realtek, it detects both of them. I need to use realtek drivers for 2 reasons; My laptop has a subwoofer which ms audio doesn't detect/utilize and laptop comes with soundblaster cinema 5 which also doesn't work with ms audio.

Let me show how ms driver lists and manages audio output sources Vs the realtek

What i want is simple; Different settings for headphones and speakers + To be able alternate between output sources without unplugging the 3.5mm jack(not simultaneously outputting from both of them)

Here is a picture of what i want to happen

I don't know of a way to get the realtek to notice them separately, it is a really common issue with it. At least not connecting through the 3.5mm port.

Now were you connecting through the USB port, using either headphones with a USB connection or a 3.5mm to USB adapter, then you should not run into this problem.

yeah i have been searching for a while now and there doesnt seem to be a solution. I guess I will stay on ms drivers. With ms drivers i cant setup my subwoofer it only detects left and right speakers. Have you got any knowledge about how to make ms driver to detect the subwoofer?

Just wanted to make sure. :) Would have been a totally different thing had it been external speakers.

I have been doing some research and I am finding nothing at all on a fix to get the other driver to detect it. Are you sure it is the right driver for that device?

well not quite. Right driver is the realtek one, which in my opinion is worse so even at the expanse of subwoofer I won't be using that. This one is a generic Microsoft hd audio driver that automatically installs when I delete realtek :)

I had the realtek audio manager while i was on realtek driver but it was a quite basic one. Meaning that it didnt had any useful settings which i could explore.
I go back and forth between these two audio drivers and i am pleased by neither of them :) Realtek cant give me seperate speaker and headphone settings which sucks :/ Anyway, thanks for your answers.
