Headphones-One-Ear Left Side

My headphones (Scull-candy Uproar) when connected to my MacBook Pro only play on the left side. When exerting force on the plug in the Mac it begins to play on both sides. Please help.

I beleive it is due to not going in all the way but I am not entirly sure.

You are correct. Halfway plugging in the connector will only give sound in one earpiece. Maybe your port is worn.
