Hi everyone,

Recently snapped probably the 10th headset of my life (bit between earcup and headband).

Growing REALLY tired of flimsy plastic units, lasting on average a few weeks/months before ultimately caving to the massive force of me pulling on one cup a little when taking it off or putting it on...

Burned through the following brands so far: Creative (5 times), Turtle Beach, Tritton, Corsair and most recently Steelseries (probably the worst build quality of all, CERTAINLY the worst mic).

Can you please suggest a headset, which will serve well in gaming scenarios as a priority (surround would be cool, I have 5.1 plugs too if needed in my soundcard)

Build quality is key! No plastic, preferably metal or a construction which isn't susceptible to snapping easily.

I don't need a mic (detchable would be good), as I use a Behringer C1 unit.

Thank you all!

Edit: well that took all of 30 seconds to vanish into oblivion...bump

Right so:

Set up the E10K and played a bit with the Bass and Gain switches too...

INSANE! The difference is incomparable to before. Just amazing!

The max volume is lower than I thought, I expected it to not be possible to go past 3/4 vol. However regardless, full volume is already dangerous and so there is good power coming through I'd say.

I can only reiterate the change here is immense and it is clearly a must to drive proper headphones!

Audio Technicia ATH-M50/M50s/M50x. I personally recomend the m50x as they have a removeable cable and are easier to travel with
