Solved! Help.Change in Function keys settings

hi respected all, i am using HP pavilion g6 laptop...When ever i press "F2" key the display light decreases and light increases by pressing F3 key. i want that pressing "F2" key gives me "edit" funtion,....please all help me.

The brightness setting should be accessed by pressing the fn along with f2/f3 so you may have a stuck fn key if you are not doing that intentionally. f3 all by itself brings up "Find" typically.

You can remap the individula keys using any of several utilities like sharpkeys, keytweak, MS Keyboard layout creator, key manager...

or hack the registry yourself.
