Hi, I want to buy the 13 inch Dell XPS 13. But I can't choose between the 4K version or the FHD version. Is it a very big difference between the i5 6th and the i5 7th? I use mostly Photoshop and Premiere and a bit of browsing, Netflix, no games. I'm coming from a MBP 2015. The Dell XPS 13 i5 6th 4K model costs €1250 and the i5 7th FHD version costs €1199. Can someone please give me advice which one I should choose?

Really depends on if you want more picture quality for a higher price. The 7th gen i5 vs the 6th isnt a big difference but can help slightly in video editing and such.

Yes,
the i5 6th QHD version costs €1250
the i5 7th FHD version costs €1200
So for that €50 difference and a very little difference in skylake and kaby lake the 4K version is the way to go?

The processing performance between a 6th and 7th generation Intel CPUs is pretty small assuming both have the same clockspeed. Depending on the specific application, you might see a 3% or 4% increase in performance. The Intel HD 620 in a 7th gen CPU is probably around 15% more powerful than the Intel HD 520 in a 6th gen CPU, but that also depends on the application. Battery life with a 7th gen CPU will likely be a longer; maybe 30 minutes to 45 minutes best guess.

The most important factor is the usefulness of the screen resolution itself. If 4k resolution is very useful to you for Photoshop and Premiere, then buy the Dell XPS 13 with that resolution.
