HELP: How To Install Ubuntu On Acer C720 Chromebook

Hi everyone,

I just purchased an Acer C720 chromebook for my kid and he wants to play Minecraft and Roblox on it, as well as surfing the web and accessing Youtube.

I understand that I need to install Ubuntu on the machine in other to play the above games.

Could you advise on which flavour/version of Ubuntu I need to install? And also, any link to a user friendly guide for Ubuntu installation is much appreciated.

im sorry to desepoint you but the hardware from the cromebook so not enough for eather roblox and denalie not minecraft this is a leptop specifalie made for ONLY browsing gaming it canot to install ubuntu you can downloade it from here http://www.ubuntu.com/

Both Minecraft and Roblox are web based kids' games that are not very demanding on CPU/GPU.

I was told that Minecraft should run on the Acer C720. Was that incorrect?

yes you are rodblox coud maby just be abel to play on crome book but minecraft has a very high rendering i renders very muchts at the same time i have pc here that have better spec then the croombook and the cant run minecraft

I think it should work. try booting ubuntu from a flash drive,and you can test it.
