HELP!!! no optical on tv ONLY ON SOUND BAR

Help! please! I bought an LG sound bar that only has a optical port but my sanyo TV doesn't have an optical port... i bought a fiio d3 and I've spent 2 days trying to get this to work using red/white cables but it still hasn't worked for me please please help

You got the wrong device. The fiio is a digital to analog converter.
If your TV has analog audio output you need one of these

which is an analog to digital converter.
They don't work in both directions. You need to right one.
