HELP! Onkyo receiver problems

I have a TX-SR 706 receiver which is combined with a Panasonic plasma tv,Panasonic blue ray DVD player, apple TV and a cable PVR.
The cable PVR, DVD and Apple TV are connected to the TX-SR 706 by the HDMI cables. While watching cable TV there was aloud piercing noise and the audio went dead. I juggled the HDMI connections around and found that I had picture and audio from HDMI1,HDMI2 and HDMI4: but only picture from HDMI3, which the PVR was connected to when the audio went dead.
I would appreciate any feed back on my problem from anyone who has had a similar one

I do have that receiver. Did you get pix and audio with the PVR on the other hdmi input?
If so, then the HDMI3 has fail. Send back for warranty.

I do get pics and Audio on the other 3 HDMI feeds, the warranty was up on
Mar 1 2011. It will be the second time this amp has failed. The 12 volt power supply went within the first year. I have access to a tech that is resonably priced, I'll se what he charges to repair it, if to much, I'll just use it with the 3 remaining HDMI inputs
