Help with Photos

I was taking pictures for a 70th birthday party for a friend of mine and I made a huge mistake!!! My mother was borrowing one of my cards on her trip to Arizon, so borrowed her card. What I didn't do was format the card prior to taking the pictures in my camera (cannon EOS 3ti). Is there anyway I can get those pictures to copy on a CD or even view them from my laptop? I'm so scared I lost that poor old man's pictures. ;( Can someone please help me soon???
