hi My laptop is Dell inspiron 15 and it is not charging when is witched off

I have Dell inspiron 15 and it does not charge itself when shut down
Help plz

Unplug the wall adapter, remove the laptop's battery and hold down the power button for at least 30 seconds. Replace the battery and see if the unit charges when shutdown. On another note, make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your laptop's motherboard. Does the laptop charge when it's powered up with the wall adapter?
