Hello,
I can get pictures but no sound on my hitachi 42inch TV

Double check if the cords are plugged into the correct inputs (most are color coded). Some TVs inputs are coded, so it would be easy to match up with any sound system, other cable boxes, DVD, satellite or a gaming system)
